Did you hear about the Astrojacks?
Northern Arizona University athletic department is proud to announce the department’s first-ever alternate identity – welcoming the Astrojacks to Northern Arizona. This new alternate identity was chosen to recognize and celebrate Flagstaff and the greater Northern Arizona region’s rich lunar legacy, including Flagstaff being named the world’s first International Dark Sky City in 2001. The Astrojacks will land on Flagstaff’s soil six times during the 2024-25 athletic seasons, featuring a familiar but interstellar color scheme of Nova Navy, Stardust Gold, and Pluto Blue, in celebration of the revolutionary discovery of the planet Pluto made right here in Flagstaff.
