Engaged Research (CHER), in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/cdr.lib.unc.edu\/collections\/dj52wm48p\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maternal Health Learning and Innovation Center<\/a> (MHLIC) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, spent 12 months creating a Tribal engagement toolkit for use by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrsa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health Resources and Services Administration<\/a> (HRSA) <a href=\"https:\/\/mchb.hrsa.gov\/programs\/state-mhi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maternal Health Innovation<\/a> (MHI) awardees working with Indigenous communities.<\/p>\n<p>This project concluded in December 2024 and was funded by the HRSA of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services developed as a necessary resource to address the critical need for improving Indigenous maternal health outcomes by fostering respectful, trust-based relationships with Indigenous communities.
