  <div class=\"wp-block-column\"><h4 class=\"x_MsoNormal\">About SREP<\/h4>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Summer Research Enhancement Program (SREP) is a summer research program designed to prepare Native American undergraduate college students for careers in public health and health research.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">This <strong>10-week, paid summer internship<\/strong>, provides Native American undergraduate students the opportunity to return to their communities during the summer to advance their academic and professional skills\/knowledge in public health and health research within three stages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Stage 1 \u2013 Intensive 3-week training in Public Health Research Methods at Din\u00e9 College in Tsaile, AZ<\/li>\n<li>Stage 2 \u2013 Six-week mentored internship in student\u2019s home community<\/li>\n<li>Stage 3 \u2013 One-week data analysis workshop and presentation at Din\u00e9 College, Tsaile, AZ<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div> Indian students, where they stay at Din\u00e9 College Tsaile campus dorm, learn about public health careers in a culturally supportive atmosphere, and participate in service-learning with local health agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, 12 high school students from the Navajo Nation participate in a public health service-learning program with local healthcare businesses to offer service-learning or volunteer options for high school students. The dual credit program (students receive Din\u00e9 College and high school credit at the same time), recently expanded from Window Rock, Arizona, to include two additional areas within the Central
