with 22 of the over 500 federally recognized Native American Tribes in the United States, each facing unique challenges. Established in 1968 as Navajo Community College, it was later renamed Din\u00e9 College. The Navajo Nation sought to create an institution of higher education that encouraged Navajo youth to become contributing members of the Navajo Nation and the world.<\/p>\n<p>CHER has a standing partnership with Din\u00e9 College building programs that foster young Native American scholars in their academic journeys. Through this collaboration, we have nurtured dozens of scholars on their paths to improving public health in their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n    <\/div>\n\n\n    <\/section>\n\n\n<section  \n provide Din\u00e9 students with a hands-on public health research experience in their own hometown communities across the Navajo Nation.<\/p>\n<p>Since that time, Din\u00e9 College has expanded the successful program, with\u00a0Heather Dreifuss\u00a0and\u00a0Jamie Wilson\u00a0from Northern Arizona University (NAU) and\u00a0Carmella Kahn\u00a0from Din\u00e9 College joining the SREP
