Quayle Scholarship<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship provides up to $4,000 per semester to new or continuing degree-seeking graduate students (full- or part-time) who are members of a federally recognized Native American tribe or nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJaime is committed to the health and well-being of Native Americans,\u201d said <strong>Nicolette Teufel-Shone<\/strong>, associate director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/center-community-health-engaged-research\/\">Center for Community Health and Engaged Research<\/a> and a professor in the Department of Health Sciences. \u201cHer dedication and promise as a public health professional are grounded in her proactive and asset-based approach to advancing health equity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaime Begay, a student in the Northern Arizona University Master of Public Health, Indigenous Health track and a graduate research assistant with the Navajo Native American Research Center for Health partnership, received the Louis H. and Betty J.
