CHER welcomes our newest students Corey Hemstreet<\/strong> and Jennifer Etcitty<\/strong>. Hemstreet is in the online Master of Public Health\u2013Health Promotion program and Etcitty is in the Master of Public Health\u2013Indigenous Health program. They are both working with Amanda Hunter<\/strong>, CHER postdoctoral scholar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your program of study?<\/strong> Master of Public Health\u2013Indigenous Health<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expected Graduation:<\/strong> Spring 2023. I am passionate about cultivating the health and wellbeing of our Indigenous communities through health promotion and research. The MPH degree program will allow me to further my skills, knowledge, and experience in public health efforts led by and for Indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Expected Graduation:<\/strong> Spring 2024. My background as a community health representative sparked my interests in health policy, advocacy, and health equity. I am particularly interested in addressing public health issues that affect tribal communities through policymaking at a state and federal level.
