Prepare for your journey to NAU
Admitted student checklist
There are a number of important pre-arrival tasks all international students should complete in preparation for arrival at NAU for the Spring 2026 semester.
- Activate your NAU LOUIE Email.
- Upload your Visa Scan to iNAU.
- Submit your JacksCard photo.
- Submit your MMR immunization records.
- Get enrolled in classes.
Housing
Many international students apply to live on campus through NAU Campus Living. The International House, located at Campus Heights apartments, is designed around international and American students who are passionate about global cultures, foreign languages, and learning new perspectives. International students can also explore off-campus housing options through LOUIE’s List.
Flagstaff airport shuttle
The Center for International Education (CIE) offers a free airport shuttle from the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport to the NAU campus for all flights arriving on Monday, August 17th. Email us with your flight details to sign up for the free shuttle to campus.
The CIE airport shuttle is not available from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport or on any alternative dates.
JacksCard
The JacksCard is the official NAU student ID, available in digital format on both Apple and Android devices through the NAUgo app.
Prior to your arrival to NAU, please submit your JacksCard photo according to the guidelines. Once your photo is approved and you are enrolled in classes, you can then self-provision your JacksCard ID to your mobile device.
MMR immunization requirement
To safeguard the health of the NAU population, all new students are required to provide proof of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR). Students should submit their MMR immunization records to NAU Campus Health prior to their arrival at NAU.
Failure to submit the required MMR documentation will result in a hold on your account that will prevent you from enrolling in classes and delay the dispersal of any awarded scholarship.
Being in compliance with the MMR policy is a requirement for students living in a NAU Campus Living Community such as International House.
