Educational leaders creating tomorrow’s opportunities

We prepare and support educational leaders who think like scholars, engage their diverse communities in authentic ways, and transform learning environments so every student thrives.

Northern Arizona University’s Department of Educational Leadership offers:

  • undergraduate and graduate courses in Educational Foundations – these serve pre-service and in-service educators and individuals interested in examining schools as sociocultural institutions
  • graduate degree programs in preK-12 Educational Leadership and Community College/Higher Education Leadership at both the master’s and doctoral levels
  • non-degree certification programs leading to state certification as a Principal or Superintendent
  • graduate courses and a master’s in International Educational Leadership for those interested in growing their knowledge and capacity to lead in global contexts
