New student check-in<\/h1>\n

Welcome to NAU<\/h2>\n

All new international students are required to check-in with International Student and Scholar Services. There are three steps to the check-in process. Step 1 must be completed prior to your arrival to the US while steps 2 and 3 must be completed after you arrive. Without completing all three steps, ISSS will not be able to activate your SEVIS record and you will be considered out of status.<\/p>\n

Step 1: upload pre-arrival immigration documents to iNAU Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n <\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/a>\n

There are two documents you need to upload to iNAU<\/a> before traveling to the US<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Copy of passport biographical page<\/li>\n
  2. Copy of your F-1 or J-1 visa<\/li>\n
  3. Copy of your I-20 (F-1 students) or DS-2019 (J-1 students)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

    There are 5 documents or information you need to upload to iNAU<\/a> after you arrive in the US:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Copy of your I-20 (F-1 students) or DS-2019 (J-1 students)<\/li>\n
    2. I-94 (electronic version<\/a> if entering through airport or a paper version if entering at land border port-of-entry)<\/li>\n
    3. US phone number<\/li>\n
    4. US address<\/li>\n
    5. Statement of Understanding<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

      Step 3: in-person check-in Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n <\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/a>\n
      \n \n\n

      After arriving in the US you must physically check-in with ISSS either by visiting CIE in Blome Building #2 OR during orientation. Transfer students (coming from another US institution) must check in within 15 days and initial students must check-in within 30 days.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
