Castro Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) building to honor Raul H. Castro, who, in 1974, became Arizona\u2019s only Latino governor and a national public servant. His career included numerous tours of duty as U.S. ambassador in El Salvador, Bolivia, and Argentina, South America. Before that, in 1939, Castro graduated from NAU\u2019s predecessor institution, the Arizona State Teacher\u2019s College in Flagstaff.<\/p>\n As Governor Doug Ducey said: Castro \u201cwas an honorable public servant, a history-maker, a beloved family man and a strong friend and fighter for Arizona.
