Violin audition repertoire

Undergraduate and Graduate requirements

Music Performance:

  • One movement from a solo sonata or partita by J.S, Bach
  • One movement from a standard classical or romantic concerto
  • One major, and one melodic minor scale of your choice

Music Education

  • Two contrasting works that demonstrate the level of technical ability, tone, and musicianship (one selection may be an etude by Kreutzer, Rode, Dont, or similar)
  • One major, and one melodic minor scale of your choice
