Vox Astra, or Voice of the Stars, performs a wide variety of distinctive repertoire for soprano and alto voices. Like our treble choir’s range, the name Vox Astra invokes the stars high above us, Flagstaff’s status as a Dark Sky City, and the location where Pluto was discovered. Vox Astra is open to music majors and non-majors from all disciplines across the University who have previous choral experience. Year-long enrollment is encouraged.

In March 2022, Vox Astra performed as the NAU Women’s Chorale at the Western Region Conference of the American Choral Directors Association in Long Beach, CA. This prestigious invitation recognizes the convicted passion and high level of performance of NAU’s exemplary treble ensemble.
