education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant can provide up to $4,000 a year to students going into teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<!-- class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n            <div class=\"wp-block-column\"><p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>To receive the grant, students must sign a TEACH Grant Agreement to Serve, which includes:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>becoming a full-time teacher for at least four academic years within eight years after program completion.<\/li>\n<li>serving as a \u201chighly qualified\u201d teacher at a low-income school or educational service agency.<\/li>\n<li>serving in a high-need field.<\/li>\n<li>providing the US Department of Education with documentation of progress toward completing your service obligation.<\/li>\n<li>maintaining a 3.25 or higher GPA in an eligible undergraduate or graduate year by the following deadlines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Oct. 1<\/strong> for fall semester<\/li><li><strong>March 1<\/strong> for spring semester<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Summer TEACH Grants might be available to students taking summer classes.
