File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid using <strong>NAU school code 001082<\/strong> as soon as possible. Be sure to complete it by the April 1 priority deadline to ensure the most possible aid.<\/p>\n\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-twilight-xxx-light  hasLink\">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n                <div class=\"subheader\">To ensure a smooth and accurate process and to make sure you\u2019re eligible for the most possible aid, be sure to:<\/div>        <ul>\n<li><strong>Stay up to date:\u00a0<\/strong>Check your <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/louie\">LOUIE To Do List<\/a> as well as your personal and NAU email accounts, regularly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>: in addition to filling out the FAFSA and being accepted to NAU, there are <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/eligibility\/\">certain qualifications you must meet<\/a> to be eligible to receive financial aid.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Verification<\/strong>: sometimes, students and families are selected to verify information on their FAFSA for accuracy. If selected, check out <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/forms\/verification\/\">verification<\/a> and get in touch with us for assistance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Summer and winter sessions<\/strong>: learn more about financial aid for <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/summer-winter-sessions\/\">summer and winter terms<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Note: If you are a first-time graduate, continuing, or returning student to NAU, a minimum of half-time enrollment (5+ hours for graduate students) is required for financial aid to be awarded. This will occur after spring grades post.<\/em><\/p>\n\n                <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/help-center\/contact\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link link_padding\">Learn more<\/a>\n        \n\n<\/section>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"after-award\">After you are awarded financial aid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Review your Financial Aid&nbsp;(scholarships, loans, etc.) and your Holds and&nbsp;To Do List Items in <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/louie\/\">LOUIE<\/a>.<\/li><li>Submit <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/forms\/verification\/\">Verification&nbsp;documentation<\/a> if requirement appears on your To-Do List.<\/li><li>Accept or decline&nbsp;your Graduate Unsubsidized Loan award offer through your&nbsp;LOUIE Student Center under the \u201cFinances\u201d menu.<\/li><li>Apply for the <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/types-aid\/student-loans\/federal-plus-loans\/\">Graduate PLUS Loan<\/a> award offer if needed. This loan requires a separate online application and approval at&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/understand-aid\/types\/loans\/plus\/grad\" target=\"_blank\">Student Aid<\/a>.<\/li><li>Complete&nbsp;Graduate Student Loan Entrance Counseling and the Graduate Student Master Promissory Notes (MPN)\/Loan Agreement at&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Student Aid<\/a>.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/types-aid\/student-loans\/\">Explore student loans<\/a> for additional information about all loans available to graduate students.<\/li><li>Our office will send financial aid updates to your NAU student email address. <strong>Check your<\/strong> <strong>LOUIE student account<\/strong> and your NAU and personal email accounts regularly.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"more-options\">More aid options for graduate students<\/h2>\n\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-monsoon \">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n                        <p><strong>Graduate student waivers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid manually awards graduate tuition\/health insurance waivers based on awarding information received from NAU\u2019s Office of Graduate and Professional Studies and the student\u2019s hiring department. Student questions regarding award amounts, timing of awards, and cancellation requests should be addressed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/graduate-college\/\">NAU Office of Graduate and Professional Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n    \n\n<\/section>\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-sunset \">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n                        <p><strong>Graduate student scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/scholarshipuniverse\/\">ScholarshipUniverse<\/a> is the best tool to match you with scholarships for graduate students.<\/li>\n<li>Graduate Assistantships are available if you are interesting in working part-time or less than part-time during your graduate program. See <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/graduate-college\/graduate-assistantships-tuition-waivers\/\">graduate assistantships &amp; tuition waivers.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Students pursuing a Health Professions degree can consult with their academic advisor about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrsa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health Resources and Services Administration Scholarship.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Through the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP), graduate school in-state tuition funding is available for out-of-state students who meet certain criteria.
