Jason Whetten Presents to Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society

Posted by admin on October 20, 2020

Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society that promotes and recognizes academic excellence in the first year at a college or university.  At the end of the spring 2020 semester, the NAU chapter recognized Jason Whetten, MA, M.Ed., as its most influential faculty member for the 2019/2020 school year.  Jason was selected for this honor based on his meaningful contributions to the education and successes of members, and because his interactions with students reflect the core values of the honor society: knowledge, truth, and honor.Photo of Jason Whetten

Jason was a guest speaker at the chapter’s fall 2020 induction ceremony and focused his presentation on how the fundamental attribution error can support kindness on campus and how the Yerkes-Dodson law can teach students about leaning into stress.  He described the event as a great experience and said he was humbled to be chosen for the honor.

Special thanks to Gabriella Lobatos for her assistance in drafting this news post.
