Graduate Student Chelsea Taylor Places 3rd in 3MRP Competition

The 3 Minute Research Presentation (3MRP) Competition, hosted by the NAU Office of Graduate and Professional Studies, provides an opportunity for NAU graduate students to present their scholarly and/or creative work to an audience in three minutes or less. Dr. Steven Barger Presents at American Heart Association Conference in Phoenix

Steven Barger, Professor of Psychological Sciences, presented at the American Heart Association Sessions on Epidemiology and Prevention in Phoenix. He compared the cardiovascular risk across persons with high and low social relationship resources as a function of 10-year, 30-year and lifetime cardiovascular disease risk estimates.

Dr. Emily Patch Presents at Sedona International Film Festival

Dr. Patch’s Research on Maternal Recall Published in Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine

Emily Patch, Ph.D., and coauthor Eileen McGrath, Ph.D., of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, had their original research exploring mothers’ recall of infant data and maternal health published in The Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine.  The authors found that, while mothers were accurate in their recollection of gestational age and infant birth weights, they were much less so in reporting their own medical diagnoses.  The findings of this research can help medical professionals communicate key information… Read more
