COVID-19 connections

Health inequities in a time of COVID-19

According to a study by the Pew Research Center, about half of lower-income Americans report household job or wage loss due to COVID-19. Many partner organizations of the Center for Community Health and Engaged Research (CHER) are feeling the pandemic.

Heather Williamson, assistant professor for CHER and the Department of Occupational Therapy, said that people living with disabilities face many challenges associated with COVID-19.

CCPS round 5 applications open

To assist partnerships between NAU researchers and community organizations with funding, the Southwest Health Equity Collaborative’s (SHERC) Community Engagement Core has opened the fifth round of their Community-Campus Partnership (CCPS) applications for up to $5,000 per year. NAU investigators and postdoctoral researchers may apply between March 13 and May 15 at 5 p.m.

ADRD researchers seek family caregivers for survey
