Dr. Mike McCarthy presents his research at the Gerontological Society of America

Our very own Social Work Professor Dr. Mike McCarthy delivered his research at the 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Gerontological Society of America in Austin, TX. The Gerontological Society of America’s mission is to further the study of aging and to promote human welfare throughout all of gerontology. The aim of McCarthy’s study, which has been funded by the American Heart Association, is to develop, validate, and pilot test a quality of relationship intervention for stroke dyads entitled, “Hand in Hand: A Partners’ Guide to Managing Stroke Together.” This poster presented findings from the content validity phase of the study. Congratulations to Professor McCarthy for his amazing work in geriatric research!
