A breast cancer diagnosis for her aunt spurred Castro Felix into the <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/yuma\/department-of-nursing\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/yuma\/department-of-nursing\/\">Department of Nursing<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/yuma\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/yuma\/\">NAU\u2013Yuma<\/a>. There she pursued a degree that would allow her to make a difference for patients like her aunt. Along the way, Castro Felix seized every opportunity to connect with and support her community.
