With election season right behind us, I want to take some time and remind everyone of the looming dangers\u2026SNOW SEASON!!!<\/p>\n<h4><u>Snow Season Prep<\/u><\/h4>\n<p>We are projected to have some of the snowiest days we\u2019ve seen thus far! It&#8217;s important to remember to stock up on important provisions just in case!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Warm clothes (scarves, gloves, snow boots, thick socks, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Non-perishable foods<\/li>\n<li>Some foods which are simple to prepare (in case of power outages)<\/li>\n<li>If you drive, remember to get tire chains for your cars!<\/li>\n<li>An umbrella can be a lifesaver when the snow is pouring down<\/li>\n<li>Stock up on cold medicines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on how you can get some of these items here on campus, visit Louie\u2019s cupboard! We have our academic success center which offers individual drop in tutoring for most classes, those that don\u2019t have specific tutors have student mentors which have taken those courses. We also have supplemental instructors (SI) for most classes, which are a great resource for getting help on some of those more difficult subjects. Likewise, we also have your assigned mentors, which, while not tutors themselves, are able to connect you with any academic resource you may need!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic Success Center: (928) 523-5524 | <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/asc\">nau.edu\/asc<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Mentoring Meeting: <a href=\"https:\/\/appointments.nau.edu\">appointments.nau.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><u>Event Extravaganza<\/u><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For the month of November, we will be hosting an event for transfer students every Thursday this month!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting us off will be<strong> Jeopardy Night<\/strong> this Thursday, 11\/7 from 5-6:30 pm in the Transfer Lounge.<\/li>\n<li>The following Thursday 11\/14 we\u2019ll have our <strong>Monthly Board Game Night<\/strong>, still from 5-6:30 at the Transfer lounge<\/li>\n<li>Finally, Thursday 11\/21 from 5-6:30 will be our <strong>Collage Night<\/strong> still within the Transfer Lounge!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>What are you most thankful for?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2484 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/qr-thankful-150x150.png\" alt=\"QR code for thankful\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/qr-thankful-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/qr-thankful-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/69\/qr-thankful.png 479w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Your responses will be used to create a word cloud and shared via Instagram.
