W.E.B. Du Bois Emerging Scholars Fellowship Award

The W.E.B. Du Bois Emerging Scholars Fellowship provides $5,000 to an NAU undergraduate student who is conducting research, creative scholarship or an innovative project under the guidance of a faculty mentor. This award will be paid out in two installments – $2,500 at the beginning of the fall and spring semester of the award.

Applicants must be an NAU undergraduate student enrolled full-time, have completed at least 15 credits at NAU, and be in good academic standing. Students from historically underrepresented backgrounds, especially those who identify as Black or African American, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications will open February 1 and are due March 1.  The application will include:

Applicants will complete the same application process as the Hooper Undergraduate Research Award.
