Educational Leadership and Policy Forums
Discussing what matters to leaders who care about educational equity
What
- An opportunity for EDL faculty, students, friends, and organizational partners to engage in learning and dialogue on a topic that is timely and relevant to educational leaders across the P20 spectrum.
- A venue to highlight important work being done in EDL, or to jumpstart a conversation about important work being done elsewhere that is of relevance to our department.
- A mechanism for EDL to demonstrate leadership and presence among broader constituents on issues that impact our fields.
Who
- Forums are organized and facilitated by EDL fulltime faculty, either independently or in collaboration with others.
- Forums re free and open to the public.
- Forums are advertised to EDL students, part-time faculty, and friends; professional colleagues; COE colleagues and students; etc.
When
- At least one forum every semester, beginning Spring 2025.
- Day/time will be determined at least 5 weeks prior to each forum, in order to allow for sufficient planning and marketing.
- If there is interest among faculty, more than one forum can be offered in a semester.
Where
- A registration link will be set up and provided in all marketing materials.
- If a particular forum is best done in person, that will be planned for and accommodated.
