Background Information about the Resource Fair Accordion Closed

Launched in 2024, the Northern Arizona Disability Resource Fair is a community event focused SPECIFICALLY on resources that are available locally to the Northern Arizona disability community. The event was developed in response to requests from members of the community who noted that, in Arizona, disability resource fairs have historically been held in the Phoenix area. This made it difficult for many families to attend due to travel. Additionally, these fairs often feature disability resources who do not offer services in Northern Arizona.

The inaugural 2024 Northern Arizona Disability Resource Fair was extremely successful. Exhibit tables sold out in less than a week; the event drew over 150 attendees across all disabilities and age groups; and feedback from both attendees and exhibitors at our 2024 event was very positive with comments such as “it was awesome. I enjoyed this Fair” and “welcoming atmosphere; amazing resources; gave me hope.”

Inspired by the success of our inaugural event, our goal is to turn the Northern Arizona Disability Resource Fair into an annual event – one that provides the local disability community with the opportunity to find helpful resources and to network with each other.
