What is the Undergraduate Symposium? Accordion Closed

A showcase for research in the sciences, the humanities, engineering, business, education, and the arts–where students share creative ideas, research, and discoveries. The annual Undergraduate Symposium is a campus-wide celebration of student achievement. Hundreds of students from across all colleges will come together to share their creative discoveries and present in-depth research and scholarly work to their peers, professors, and the University and Flagstaff communities.

Will there be any live presentations? Accordion Closed

Yes, there will be live presentations. Please refer to the symposium schedule.

How much do I need to pay to attend the symposium? Accordion Closed

The symposium is free of cost.

What is the date and time of the symposium? Accordion Closed

The symposium will occur April 24, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (MST) at the High Country Conference Center (building 58).

What kind of research is presented at the symposium? Accordion Closed

Students from all disciplines across the university will present their work, including research posters, oral presentations, exhibits, and performances.

Does the symposium have any visual and performing arts presentations? Accordion Closed

Yes! Visual and performing arts students can participate in the symposium.

Can I invite friends, family, and professors to attend the symposium? Accordion Closed

Yes! The more the merrier. Please invite anyone that you feel would like to see what students have been working on throughout the year. Anyone with the link will be able to access the Symposium and we would love to have more people see what all the students have worked on.

Can the presentations be viewed online? Accordion Closed

Yes, visit the Symposium Gallery to view posters and oral presentations. All presenters are required to upload a copy of their poster or presentation and are strongly encouraged to include a video. The online gallery is intended to complement the in-person event and will allow those unable to attend the Symposium in person to view presentations. It will allow presentations to be viewed outside of the live event and will be available the week of April 21. It will be archived on our website after the symposium.

How do I view the presentations online? Accordion Closed

The Symposium Gallery is open to everyone. If you are an NAU affiliate, use your NAU credentials to log in. If you are not affiliated with NAU, then create an account using a different email address and password.

Who do I contact for technical help if I continue to have access problems after troubleshooting on my own? Accordion Closed

Please contact ug-research@nau.edu for technical help. First, be sure that you are logged in to the symposium website with your NAU CAS ID, and make sure that your internet connection is working. If you still need technical assistance, please email us as stated above.
