The mission of the Campus Living Student Association at NAU is to enhance the academic, personal, and social experience of living on-campus by providing opportunities to learn and utilize leadership qualities and skills through trainings, conferences, and programming.

Meetings Accordion Closed

CLSA meets every Monday from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm in the University Union in Havasupai A and Havasupai B. These meetings will start Monday, September 9, and continue through Monday, December 2, 2024. CLSA Meetings are open to any community member who wants to attend. Each Campus Living Community has three individuals who represent the student voice and needs for that community. These individuals are called Community Council Representatives and CLSA encourages you to get to know each representative in your community!

Conferences Accordion Closed

CLSA has the ability to take community members to conferences that occur throughout the academic year and into the summer. These conferences consist of state, regional, and national leadership conferences. This year, Arizona State University-Downtown Phoenix campus is hosted the 2024 Regional Leadership Conference (RLC 2024) and University of Idaho hosted the 2025 Regional Business Conference (RBC 2025) for colleges and universities within the Intermountain region. Northern Arizona University is also hosting the Arizona Residential Leadership Conference on April 5, 2025 and we will be attending the national conference occurring May 2025 22-25 at Illinois State University.

We encourage you to apply by reaching out to CLSA_NCC@nau.edu!

Events Accordion Closed

CLSA organizes events throughout the year that focus on getting involved, making connections, developing leadership, and signature experiences at NAU! Events are advertised in the Campus Living Communities, on the digital display boards around campus, and are posted to our Instagram @CLSA_NAU.  Each event is free and you can find out more about when and where these happen through True Blue Connects.

Project Perspective Accordion Closed

Project Perspective is a transformative campus initiative designed to foster awareness, empathy, and action within our community. This initiative is open to all students at any point in the year. Community members commit to embodying values that promote personal growth and collective understanding by taking Project Perspective pledge. The pledge encourages individuals to Stay Aware, by considering the impact of their words and remaining open to feedback. Seek Out Information, by actively educating themselves on important topics they may not fully understand. Engage in Conversation, by listening and contributing to meaningful dialogue. Cultivate Community, by creating spaces where differences are celebrated and similarities are strengthed. Finally, the initiative emphasizes the importance of Recognizing Privilege, urging individuals to acknowledge their advantages and use them to advocate for various voices. Through Project Perspective, our campus becomes a hub for respectful dialogue and shared progress where everyone can contribute to a more inclusive and understanding community.
